PotatoEurope and SugarBeet Expo 2026

PotatoEurope 2026 has once again established itself as the key trade event for the European potato sector. For the first time, the event took place alongside the SugarBeet Expo. Around half of the 300 exhibitors came from abroad.

On 9 and 10 September 2026, over 10,000 trade visitors from nearly 80 countries gathered at the Rittergut Gestorf in Springe near Hanover; more than 31 per cent of visitors travelled from abroad to find out about the latest developments, new machinery and sustainable solutions for potato and sugar beet cultivation.

The focus was on practical applications: technology in real-world field use, machinery demonstrations, DLG Spotlights and the DLG Expert Stage provided a forum for professional dialogue. The entire value chain – from breeding through cultivation and harvesting to processing – was the centre of attention.
